Manchester United striker, Anthony Martial has been said to probably miss the rest of the season due to injury.
The club confirmed he is suffering from a sprained knee, therefore weakening Manchester United’s hopes in the Premier League and Europa League in which chances of him playing in the rescheduled Euro 2020 this summer is now a probability.
“Unfortunately, he sprained his knee during the international break with France,” Ole Gunnar Solksjaer the Manchester United manager told the MUTV.
“We always hope that anytime they go for the internationals they come back fit.”
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer then added that he his thankful to see Paul Pogba who is also from the same country as Anthony Martial come out of injury.
“Losing Anthony Martial for the rest of the season is very displeasing, especially with the reports we got from France in which we were told that it wasn’t anything serious but it sure looks a bad one.”
Solksjaer also stated that Edison Cavani’s return without an injury was also a good news for the club.
